We’re proud to share a moving update from our colleague Alison Beach, who recently took part in the Cancer Research UK Race for Life, not just as a participant, but in memory of her dear friend Nikki. Alison’s run was a powerful tribute, filled with love, strength, and remembrance and in doing so raised a massive £3,133.87.

Alison shares her experience in her own words:

“Recently, I took part in Race for Life not just as a participant, but as someone running on behalf of my dear friend Nikki, who sadly passed away, but whose spirit continues to inspire me every day.

“Nikki was more than a friend, she was a light in the lives of everyone who knew her. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering courage in the face of illness touched countless hearts. When she passed, the world lost a truly beautiful soul.

“Crossing the finish line wasn’t just about completing a race, it was about honouring Nikki’s memory, for the moments we shared, for the laughter, the tears, and the friendship that will never be forgotten.

“I wore her name proudly. And as I ran, I could almost hear her cheering me on, just as she always did when life got tough.

To those who supported me, donated, or simply stood by me on this journey, thank you.”
